When the founding team of Actelion put roots down in Allschwil almost 25 years ago, we were dreaming of a healthcare hub in the Bachgraben area, with all the services that an entrepreneurial biotech company needs to rapidly advance its research. We were drug hunters on a mission to build a pharmaceutical research organization that discovered innovative therapies for patients in need. Now as Idorsia, we are continuing with this mission and we see the whole area coming alive with ambition and talent.
A hub, such as the one we are cre- ating together, is a great place to debate, discuss, and mingle; a great place to work hard, share experi- ences, and celebrate our successes. I believe innovation in healthcare can flourish when we create the right environment to blend our skills and crafts; to team-up, remain curious, and most importantly, let science lead the way.
These new buildings with inspiring architecture, together with the teams who will make them their home, can undoubtedly make way for a culture of innovation and let the Bachgraben Innovation Park shine within the Basel area’s leading life science cluster.
On this note I welcome our new neighbors and look forward to our many interactions. Let the area become a melting pot such that serendipity can find a spot to land and spark an idea. Let’s innovate together!
